A first introduction to welcome you to my precious machinery which make all the lovely clothing I sell. I love the old vintage machines because the speedy, strong and sturdy, build to last and give me a sense of love as I imagine their previous owners and what they might have made using them. Both machines came from factories here in the UK. The PFAFF Lock Stitch actually came from a factory in Plymouth which is where I bought it so i'm pleased to be able to keep it here in the Southwest. The simplicity of the PFAFF makes it very easy to thread (I use Nylon Bonded) and run, once you get used to the speed. It runs off a 6 Volt motor which is heavier on my electricity bill I do work more efficiently by cutting, preparing and sewing all of the products so they're all finished at the same time.
