As we fly into a fresh I mean "cold" 2018, we as roving fashionistas look forward to the colours and styles for the warmer months, it helps us plan our wardrobes and decide which clothes will coordinate next season's themes.
The color of the year for 2018 is Ultra Violet which is described as "dramatically provocative a thoughtful shade of purple" by Pantone Ltd, an institute that created an official "colour match system" to allow creative people like me to plan our collections for future occasions.

Fashion trends change with the seasons, sometimes even monthly if a famous person endorses an item, but in general the research and reporting is done up to two years in advance.
For This coming year of 2018 the key features present themselves in 4 directions with the idea that the designer will choose a focus as the starting point.
